We cater for a broad range of people through our various groups and activities: young adults, children's programs, playgroup, youth group, home groups and men's activities.

ministries for children and families

Our children are a key part of the Parafield Gardens Uniting Church family and deserve our best in serving them and developing their faith.

Creche
There is a crèche for children under 3 every Sunday morning during our worship service.

God’s Kids
God’s Kids is our dynamic Sunday morning programme for children from 3yrs of age to year 7. God’s Kids provides a biblically based, safe, creative, fun, age relevant and nurturing programme each week during school terms.

The children begin with the whole church family in worship for abut 15 mins and then move out to God’s Kids. They rejoin their families at the end of the service. Parents are welcome to help settle their children in or stay when their children are new to God’s Kids.

We also seek to involve our children in worship in different ways through out the year.

During school holidays services are planned to engage children in worship or other activities are planned during the service just for them.

KUCA Camp Out
KUCA Camp Out happens every year for children aged 7 to 12. It is organised by the state body of the Uniting Church in Australia and involves our local group staying overnight with groups from all over South Australia totaling up to 3,000 children and leaders in a safe environment.

Small Beginnings Play Group
Small Beginnings Playgroup is a culturally divierse program for babies and preschool children and their parents or carer. It is held on each Monday of the school term, except for Public Holidays, from 10am – 11.30am.

A small charge covers the cost of tea and coffee, activities and a craft each week.

Our aim is to provide a fun and positive learning and social experience in a safe Christian atmosphere and to encourage and enable parents and their children to grow together from their “Small Beginnings”

Children enjoy a time of free play, with many different indoor and outdoor activities available plus:

Take home craft.
Snack time.
Story and singing time.

Resource Centre for Children and Family Ministries
The Resource Centre for Children's and Family Ministry is a joint venture of the Uniting Church in South Australia and the Parafield Gardens Uniting Church. Its purpose is to resource people in congregations who work with children and their families.
